Taunton Outcasts & Radiac v Watchet 1st XI

 24th June 2006

 

Watchet travelled to The Civil Service ground on Saturday to play in a very close match.

 

The Outcasts had first knock and amassed 234 for 3, with Nico Grenade scoring a quality 135 supported by young wicket-keeper batsman Joe Hewton who made an unbeaten 60.

 

In reply, Watchet reached their required total off the last ball with one wicket remaining to keep themselves in touch with the promotion places at the top of the table.

 

Burnham-on-Sea v Whitchurch

Whitchurch won the toss and batted first in this match at Stoddens Road. They were restricted to 182 for 6 with Brown scoring 61. Severn took 3 for 27 for Burnham.

Burnham reached their target for the loss of three wickets. Graham Puddy scored 64 and Nyam Karmaker scored  48. For Whitchcurch Bell took 2 for 37.

 

Belvedere v Hardington & West Coker

Belvedere rattled up 315 for 4 against Hardington and West Coker at Weston-Super-Mare, thanks to Neil Chadwick who made 147. He was well supported by Gary Gullick who chipped in with 68.

In reply, Hardington and West Coker reached 218 for 8 with E Knibbs top scoring with 97.
