Other Division Two News & Results
South Petherton v Burnham-on-Sea South Petherton, the other newly promoted side, were also victorious when they beat Burnham-on-Sea at home. After being put into bat the hosts scored 242 for 3 with Walmsley making an unbeaten 85 and skipper Kevin Harris 60.
In reply Burnham-on-Sea were all out for 183, with former skipper Graham Puddy top scoring with 74.
Whitchurch v Belvedere This match was a very close affair. Batting first at the Norton Lane ground, Belvedere were bowled out for 114 with Ian Blake taking 4 for 16.
Whitchurch crept home by two wickets thanks to captain James Gammon who made a vital 52. Belvedere's Richard Staham ended with 3 for 23.
Mark v Fitzhead After their victory last weekend, Fitzhead were on the receiving end and went down to Mark by 52 runs.
Batting first the home side amassed 212 for the loss of two wickets. Simon Cattermole scored an unbeaten 128 and Sanjay Ranjan scored 41.
When Fitzhead batted it was the same two players who did the damage with the ball. Cattermole took 4 for 26 and Ranjan 3 for 42.
Taunton Outcasts & Radiac v Brent Knoll Taunton Outcasts & Radiac scored 210 at the Civil Service Club and then restricted Brent Knoll to 186 to win the match by 24 runs.
