Hardington & West Coker v Watchet

Skipper Philip Milton won the toss and asked Hardington & West Coker to take first knock in the heat. The hosts scored 221 for five of which skipper Neil Hallam scored a fine 129.

Watchet chased their runs down and reached 222 for 9 with just two balls to spare. Jason Strong top scored with 59, Clive Strong made 33 and Liam Woolgrove chipped in with a crucial unbeaten 31 at the end of the innings.

 

Burnham-on-Sea v South Petherton

South Petherton kept up their title chase when they recorded  a one run victory at Burnham-on-Sea.

Batting first South Petherton were indebted to opener Walmsley who top scored with 57, as they slipped to 86 for six before recovering to 187 all out.

The late runs were scored by Ian Masters who made 32, Lee Anderson 34  and R Blackburn who scored 28.

Burnham-on-Sea looked on target to chalk up their fifth win of the season, before falling a tantalising one run short as they were all out for 186, despite 65 from Nyam Karmaker.

For the visitors Surrinder Doss ended with 3 for 33.

 

Fitzhead v Mark

Fitzhead did their promotion hopes a power of good when they recorded a resounding victory of their visitors Mark.

Batting first Fitzhead amassed 324 fir six, thanks to a career best of 156 from Mark Hannaford and 105 from Neil Hendy.

Between the them the pair added 265, a new record for the club.

Chasing their target Mark were all out for 181, Laurence Burns taking 3 for 47 and Chris Cherry 2 for 32.
