Division 2 News June 3rd 2006

 

Whitchchurch v Mark

Whitchurch club captain hit a fine 190, setting a new club record in their 142 run victory against Mark.

 

South Petherton v Brent Knoll

Top of the table South Petherton kept up their good for against visitors Brent Knoll. Batting first the hosts totalled 263 for 7. Mark Walmsley with 60 and Anthony Smith with 40 were there top scorers.

 

In reply Brent Knoll were bowled out for 163. Gary Salter took 4 for 33 and Paul Anderson 3 for 27.

 

Fitzhead v Burnham-on-Sea

Burnham-on-Sea batted first and scored 258 for 5. Nayam Karmaker scored 100, Jim Bloodworth 71 and Paul Anderson a hard hit 44.

 

Fitzhead responded by knocking off the required runs losing only three wickets. Neil Handy carried his bat for 133 and skipper Laurence Burns made an unbeaten 51.

 

Hardington & West Coker v Taunton Outcasts & Radiac

The Taunton side came away with a comfortable victory to their credit.

 

After winning the toss the hosts batted first and were all out for 160 in their final over with Luke DeSave taking 2 for 12.

 

In reply, the visitors reached their required total in the 26th over. Nico Grenade scored an unbeaten 77, Ben Piken 34 and Joe Hewton an unbeaten 33.
